Kumoricon Campaign
Design | Collateral | Social Media
Kumoricon annually features their mascot, a girl with an umbrella, in different styles of dress. This year, the design for the mascot came from the Japanese trend “Decora Kei” in which lot of unmatching parts come together to form a new look: symbolic of the various persons in the community coming together at the convention. The collateral focused on the chibi version of the mascot on a tote and shirts that dealt with jokes that are known along the community. The app shown assists the person who may be from out of town to locate where to find food, their friends, and what the schedule for the convention is. The two social media platforms chosen for Kumoricon were Facebook and Instagram. Facebook targeted the older participants and parents while Instagram targeted younger participants and cosplayers, based on demographic information. |
